Oct. 10 to 15 — Centennial Fall Festival
Davis campus
This major six-day Fall Festival combines traditional homecoming activities with special activities celebrating the UC Davis Centennial. Activities include the grand opening of the Robert
Mondavi Institute for Wine and Food Science, a 5- and 10-kilometer run-walk, a downtown Davis street fair, open lectures with faculty and alumni, and much more.

Oct. 10, Friday — Pajamarino and Homecoming Bonfire
7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Amtrak Station, 840 Second St., Davis
Dress in your pajamas and share in the Aggie Spirit during this tradition to pump up the football team before the Homecoming game. The Student Alumni Association, alumni and the Cal Aggie Marching Band-Uh! meet alumni returning to Davis by train and then head to the homecoming bonfire. For more information, call (800) 242-GRAD.

Oct. 11, Saturday — Pre-game Tailgate Barbecue and Homecoming Football Game

The Pre-game Tailgate Barbecue is exclusively for students, staff, faculty, alumni, friends and their families before the Homecoming football game against Southern Utah. The Grad Faire is held twice a year before commencements to offer graduates an opportunity to take care of all their graduation needs at one event including ordering announcements, caps and gowns, and more.

Preview Day is the campus program for prospective students, parents and school counselors. Visit our campus and learn about the undergraduate experience at UC Davis.

Oct. 19 to 25 — National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week
Quad
Students are encouraged to take the e-Chug survey and recieve a $5 coupon for Redrum Burger in Davis. The electronic Check-Up to Go is a self-assessment that provides personalized feedback on an individual’s use of alcohol and information on UC Davis resources.

Oct. 20, Sunday — Davis Neighbors’ Night Out
Noon to 9 p.m.
Students are encouraged to meet their neighbors by hosting or attending a neighborhood event. The evening is sponsored by the the Associated Students of UC Davis, the city of Davis and UC Davis.

Applications are due for the Jan. 9 to 11 REACH (Reaffirming Ethnic Awareness and Community Harmony) retreat. It offers UC Davis students the opportunity to learn to question, discover connections and engage in social justice. Alarcón, a Chicano poet and children’s author, and Maya Christina Gonzalez, a children’s book illustrator, will be the featured speakers at this annual celebration of literature for children. The Aggie Auction includes a silent auction, a live auction and raffles to benefit the athletic department’s grant-in-aid fund for student athletes. Centered on the Quad
The Whole Earth Festival features crafts, workshops, informational booths and musical entertainment. Reminiscent of the ’60s, it demonstrates today’s environmental spirit by using solar energy to power entertainment stages and other equipment and having an aggressive program to capture most of the festival’s waste for recycling or composting.
